Webinar Overview

Classical technical analysis focuses on what price is doing: trends, support and resistance, chart patterns, breakouts, and other forms of market structure. Quantitative and data-driven analysis adds another layer by examining measurable information such as momentum, volatility, correlations, relative performance, sector behavior, and other statistical relationships across equities, currencies, commodities, and broader market indices.

In this webinar, we will explore how these two approaches can complement each other. Rather than relying on a chart pattern or a data point in isolation, participants will learn how to place technical signals within a broader evidence-based context. We will examine how data can help confirm, challenge, or refine a technical view, and how combining multiple forms of analysis can support a more structured and disciplined trading process.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the key differences between classical technical analysis and quantitative/data-driven analysis.
  • • Recognize the strengths and limitations of each approach when used on its own.
  • • Learn how statistical and market data can add context to trends, chart patterns, breakouts, and key price levels.
  • • Explore how momentum, volatility, correlations, relative strength, and sector or asset behavior can be incorporated into market analysis.
  • • Build a structured framework for combining multiple forms of evidence when assessing opportunities in currencies, commodities, equities, and indices.
  • • Understand why confluence can strengthen an analytical view without guaranteeing a successful trade.
